Hotel Industry popularly known as hospitality industry all over the world includes different types of establishments that provide food & beverage service and accommodation to the public. This industry offers a wide range of jobs and careers which vary according to the style of operation in each establishment. For instance, the task performed in a general restaurant will differ greatly from a fast food outlet.

Growth of this industry has been very rapid in India in the past decade. Especially in Kerala the growth rate is more than double in the last four years. This is due to the change in economic pattern and the importance given to tourism by the government.
